Girl power! A new public service announcement starring Beyonce, Jennifer Garner, Jane Lynch, Diane Furstenberg and a slew of other successful women and men strives to ban the word "bossy" when it comes to girls. Citing a statistic that shows girls are "less interested in leadership by the time they reach middle school" than boys, the participants urge viewers to encourage ambition in girls -- not label their budding interest in leadership with negative terms. Created by the Girls Scouts of America and LeanIn.org, the campaign -- hashtagged #banbossy online -- will provide educational resources for parents, teachers and others to encourage leadership in girls. Its celebrity spokespeople provide a little extra encouragement.
