The guitar strings, the melody that comes from the very essence of music that was made from the deepest part of the soul, the smooth and sultry vocals capture the very essence of who Sam Letric is. A musical genius, a storyteller through song and most of all a musician with a passion to express what he feels through his lyrics.

I've had the pleasure of networking with "Sam Letric" for a few years now and there is always something to look forward to whether in his music or through social networks. Never ending positive tweets through his feed on Twitter or an update on Facebook. One of my personal favorites is "Truth Is", I believe it's the profound truth of how much "one night" can mean on any level. Every song I've heard , pulls you in and makes you listen to the heart of a man speak.

Now you too can take a look at this passionate soul that adores music, in my recent interview with him.

Where music meets it's destiny > S A M  L E T R I C

Tell me a little bit about your background and where you were born.

I am the grandson of a Blues musician/Sax player, son of a pastor and brother of three.

What is your greatest strength?

I'm very stubborn.

What is your greatest weakness?

I don't believe I have a weakness (that's my biggest weakness) that believe is centered not me alone, but my faith.

What’s the best thing about being in the music industry?

I don't know really; I never considered myself as “being in the music industry”.

What’s the best advice that you can give a young man faced with society today?

Listen to your parents/guardians or respected older men.

Have you ever felt like you were destined to pursue any other career?

I can't say that I have.

What are your views on the material you see in the music industry today?

Material? When you say Material I'm assuming you're referring to “product”. I think the “Music Business” is about making money; I don't think that “music” or the “artist” will ever be the center piece or focus on making capitol in the music business.

What are your thoughts on philanthropy?

It's part of what drives me; love is best known by expression.

What’s the best advice you can give an entrepreneur in any industry?

(Smiles) I'm not sure that I have any advice for an entrepreneur that would differ from any other line of business – “Know your craft” and “Know the business” & decide what your limitations are.

What’s your favorite past time?

My favorite past time would be spending time with my grandfather.

What’s your vision when it comes to building your legacy?

I'm not so sure about legacy, I simply want to be the best I can be and promote right living.

How important of a role did education play in making you the professional that you are today when it comes to the music industry?

I began playing the guitar and singing by ear at 6 years old; my education process  of “repitition” and development came from a God given desire and passion to cling to music. That desire prompted independent study which continues even to this point.

What’s an average day for you like?

(Smiles) This is too long to put in a statement. I wake up around 6 and go to bed around 1am what's in the middle of that time frame is never the same.

Is there anyone in the world that you desire to meet with one day? If yes, who and why?

There are a number of people that I would like to meet one day; I've been inspired by so many great people. Entertainers, Authors, Athletes, Mothers, Fathers, Men, Women …  Anytime you can meet someone that has inspired you would be great.

Have you ever thought about giving up the music industry?

Absolutely, then the next day I'm back to my senses.

Do you plan on releasing your music in any other language besides English?

I would love to, I don't have anything set in stone as of yet, but that would be a dream of mine.

In your journey so far, what is your best lesson that you’ve learned?

I don't know if I can tell you the “best” lesson, I can say that nothing is promised, but when you work as hard, as smart, and as consistent as you can, it's easier to sleep at night.

What was the turning point in your life when you realized that you had to share your music with the world?

When I realized that the message behind the music was greater than the music; the music was just a vehicle to export the message.

Tell me something about you that no one would believe?

I've never had a performance, recording, or any work of my own where I could listen to or view it without being over critical of most of it. I'm such a student of music that my ear is much better than I can ever be, so it's pretty difficult to be happy with my work, but I'm learning to accept each work as “art”.

If you made the front of a magazine cover, what magazine would it be and what would the title/subtitle say?

Other than your own (Winks), it would definitely be People Magazine. Not sure about the title, but I would hope it would be something appropriate.

If you had your own brand of fortune cookies and was only allowed one statement that would be read by billions, what would it say?

Limitations do NOT exist!

What do you think the biggest mistakes that individuals make in their career choices?

Doing it for any reason other than the love of it.

When do you think you will retire from the music business?

That's a good question, I don't have an answer for that.

What three things do you think attributed to your success?

Passion, Love, & Faith.

What is your greatest belief?

“That belief is centered not in me alone, but in my faith"

I see you play the guitar, who or what was your inspiration and how long have you been playing?

My inspiration behind guitar started at about 5 years old. I noticed how much my Dad enjoyed and it caught my attention. Charles Hines was my first influence. This guy was B.B King, Hendrix, Sam Cooke, Little Richard & Al Green all rolled up in one, for those who’ve had the chance to hear him they’d probably say he was better. A prodigy from central Florida that died to soon.

What project are you currently working on and when can we expect a release date?

Well I’m always looking to market and promote all of my music; I typically record an album each year, but my shows consists of a mixture of the catalog of material I’ve recorded. I am excited about the upcoming 2012 release; I’m flirting with a release date but I’m not certain as of now.

Do you plan on having a tour for your music?

Certainly, I have a lot of material that sounds great with my band and very optimistic that I will be touring soon.

How can readers purchase your music or get in touch with your for any of your service?

All of my mixtape music is & will be available on http://www.bandcamp.com/; my albums are available on itunes, www.cdbaby.com , or my website  http://www.samletric.com/ , or on any random online distributor. I've heard of people purchasing my music on websites that I didn't even know existed.

Now after taking a look inside the life, the love, the passion and the experience with him, see for yourself how one of his songs can make you feel!
